Our three days at Olaloi were just amazing. We we're welcomed by Jemimah, Jacob and the whole team in person. James, the Chef, prepared a late lunch for us and the highlight of day one was the Kenyan Tea around the bonfire, where we got a Maasai Welcome Dance by the camp team, which was absolutely stunning. Through our whole stay, everyone gave everything to make our time as great as possible. Thanks again for taking us into Maasai Tradition. I can highly recommend, spending time at Olaloi Mara Camp and enjoy the authentic and very warm hospitality.

The place definitely exceeded our expectations. The room, dining area and the whole camp ground are much larger than in the pictures. Everything was extremely well maintained and clean. The owners went the extra mile - were always helpful and available and keen to have a conversation (each night we chatted at the dinner and breakfast). They also set-up a fireplace and showed us hippos that you could see at night near the camp. Food was also excellent - the cook listened to all our dietary requirements. Last night we had an "African Night", that allowed us to try local food

This is an absolutely exceptional yet affordable camp. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The owners were extremely friendly and gracious. Staff was amazing and very accommodating. Fantastic food. Great location near the park gate. They can also arrange excellent game drives for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The room was way better than expected. The food was delicious! The staff were attentive, very friendly, and extremely efficient. The activities attached by the facility were beyond all expectations. The owners of the property were very prompt in responding to all my communication and questions. This is a local Maasai owned and run camp directly benefiting the local community. Very close to the Maasai Mara park entry gate.

Das Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit! Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Zimmer super gemütlich und das Bett sehr bequem. Man hatte einen tollen Blick in den Garten und konnte auch noch entspannt auf der Terrasse sitzen und spielen oder dort essen.

Ich kann nichts anderes sagen, der Aufenthalt war hervorragend! Die Unterkunft ist nicht groß, bietet aber alles, was man braucht. Es gibt drei Häuser, die großzügig und sauber sind. Man vermisst nichts. Die Aussicht geht in die Natur und wenn man Glück hat laufen abends sogar Nilpferde durch den „Garten“. Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen sind sehr reichhaltig. Das Personal lässt sich immer was einfallen. Die Unterkunft liegt ein paar Minuten vom Reservat entfernt. Ausflüge ließen sich vorab über den Gastgeber buchen. Ein Muss: Ballon Safari.

Wir sind angekommen und wurden sofort wie Familienmitglieder aufgenommen. Die Gastgeberin hat uns mit unserem leicht ramponierten Mietwagen zur Werkstatt begleitet, Familienrabatt ausgehandelt und alles für uns geregelt. Der abendlichen Einladung ans Lagerfeuer sind wir gern gefolgt, hatten spannende Gespräche über die Natur, das Leben der Massai und den afrikanischen Alltag, sogar Hippos im Garten der Anlage - und jede Menge Spaß mit Betreibern und Angestellten. Unser Wunsch nach einem Moskitonetz wurde prompt erfüllt. Die neueste Investition während unseres Aufenthalts war ein schallgedämpftes Stromaggregat, so dass auch die regional ziemlich schwankende Stromversorgung nun kein Problem mehr sein dürfte. Die Lage im Dorf Talek ist perfekt - man ist in wenigen Minuten am Talek Gate des Masai-Mara-Nationalparks, wo wir sogar das Glück hatten, die Great Wildebeest Migration beobachten zu können. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und glücklich und können Olaloi wärmstens empfehlen!

Herzlicher sehr familiärer Empfang, man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben und Jemimah und ihr Team versuchen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Sie lud uns ein das von ihr initiiertes Projekt zur Beschäftigung von Maasei Frauen zu besuchen - was unglaublich lehrreich und interessant war. Am zweiten Abend konnten wir Hypos im Garten beobachten die vom an das Grundstück grenzenden Talek River zum grasen vorbei kamen. Und es war auch schön am Abend beim Lagerfeuer zu sitzen und mit einer Gruppe Maasei zu tanzen. Nur wenige Minuten zum Masei Mara Talek Gate gelegen.
