The view of this place is amazing. The lake is few minutes walk from the yurt. The dinner is massive for 1400kgs. It is located in the middle of nowhere and after the Ak-Say Canyon. It is a good place to hike if you have time. Very quite place. The room can accommodate 3 people. Breakfast is not too heavy but filling. Around 20 minutes to get out of the place until the main road, but signages are available so you won't get lost. All in all, a good and safe place to experience a nomadic lifestyle of the Kyrgyz people.

This is exactly the experience I was looking for during my stay in Kyrgyzstan. Scenic property with very comfortable and warm yurts. The spread-out yurt bungalows feel very private. At night they heat up the oven for a cozy sleep. The food is plenty and very tasty. As a solo traveler, they seated me with other guests. This way I was plenty entertained and had friends to hike to the scenic view point with. The lake is just a short walk away. In early April the lake was still cold, but I managed to take a plunge, just for the experience of it. On a starry night, they lit the bonfire. Wonderful and caring family. I took the marshrutka from Bishkek Western bus station direction to Bokonbayevo and got picked up at Ak Say Village. From there, it's a 45 min drive through the canyon.

Incredible experience overall. A truly "off the grid" destination. Absolutely beautiful and if you've ever wanted to stay in a yurt - this is the place. They will also help to organize horse riding and transport from Bishkek. Very easy. The food is fantastic but you eat what you are served.

The location is great right at the south side of lake Issyk Kul. For people who love canyons, there is a beautiful viewing point on the canyons just a couple of 100 meters west of the yurt camp. At night you can hear the waves in the yurts, which are cosy and heated by a stove. The hosts are lovely. Always friendly and helping. On the day before we got to the yurt camp I got sick and the hosts did their best to help me get better during our 2-day stay. They brought tea, sweets and frequently resupplied the stove with wood and coal. Breakfast and dinner is very ample. The hosts' pets are also very lovely.

- Camp is located nearby the Ak Sai Canyon Panorama view point with stunning views. You can also arrange some additional trips directly with the owner. - Meals are great but cooked by the family so if you have specific needs/wishes, you need to let them know in advance or stock yourself in a shop earlier. - Communication only in Russian or Kyrgyz but not a problem with Google Translator. Mobile data is available but limited and not that stable so best to download the required language to use offline as well

Look no further than this property if you’re looking for a place to stay at Bokonbaevo - while it may be slightly out of the way, the trip here was definitely worth it. The landscape and views were other-worldly (you get a view of the mountains, lake, and canyons). The owner was friendly and his wife cooked the most delicious home cooked food we had in Kyrgyzstan and she took good care of us. The yurts and facilities were clean too. Our only regret was that we didn’t come during summer when the weather was warmer since the yurts don’t come with heating. But all in all, a splendid stay!

a great place to unwind. A yurt camp with a modern spin. the courtyard has a small bar, hammock and swing. Made me feel like i’ve stumbled upon Bali in the mountain. Walking distant to Issyk-kul Lake. Dinner and breakfast are sumptuous, there’s shower and modern toilet facilities, lit through the night, which give a sense of security. This place is ran very systematically and efficiently, nothing is out of place, which i truly appreciate.

The location is great - very remote and all what you look for staying in a yurt is an experience as well. this is great stopover if you plan your way to Karakol. food was really good as well. we stayed here for 2 nights , likely 1 night would be enough - although its a great location to relax and disconnect
