The location of property is secluded, but special. The room is small and simple, but it has ac, very comfortable bed, fridge, bathroom and balcony. The guy was very nice, he was driving us around in his tuk tuk and provided with all informations we needed. Breakfast at hotel was great. You can enjoy it watching elephants bathing.

Absolutely amazing location, we had a beautiful little house nestled between banana trees. The only sounds were crickets and birdsong. It was so relaxing and beautiful. A tuk tuk was available to bring is to and from the main hotel where there is a nice pool, bar and restaurant. Watching the elephants bathing I'm the river while eating breakfast was absolutely FANTASTIC, I will never forget thos experience ❤️ The staff are INCREDIBLE, huge thanks to Andrew, Dan and Kave for looking after us so well during our trip.❤️ These guys go over and above to ensure that guests are safe and comfortable. Can't praise them highly enough.

Very cozy, beautiful village house surrounded by nature. Comfortable, beautiful bed, all necessary accessories. Wonderful view of banana fields, various plants. Very nice, sincere, helpful hosts. The hosts grow a lot of different fruit near the house. Everywhere is amazingly clean. Very friendly manager Andrew. Delicious breakfast in the hotel, which is near Village Pinnawala. This village house is a refreshment for the soul!! We recommend 100 percent!! We will come back soon.

I highly recommend that you stay here. The staff cannot do enough for you. Try to book the chalet if you can. See other comments for details about visits to other hotel. The elephant viewing experience was fantastic.. no need to pay to go into the orphanage.

The peacock Village in Pinnawela is a lovely and peaceful place surrounded by nature. From the accomodation, you have a beautiful view of a garden with banana palm trees - sometimes visited by peacocks. Whenever you want - f.ex. for breakfast (included in the price) or to go to the swimmingpool - a tuk tuk is organised by the accomodation's caretakers to go to the nearby Hotel Pinnalanda. From this Hotel, you have a spectacular view of the elephants (from the elephant orphanage) bathing in the river. Andrew, the accomodation's Manager, is incredibly accomodating and helped us with everything we needed i.e. recommending and showing us activieties in the area, like kayaking or hiking. We had a lovely time at the peacock Village!

Excellent place and good service given by the family who looks after the place. Breakfast buffet is not up to the mark, no varieties, no taste at all, could have added more or give an option on pre ordering.

Despite a bit small, the room is well equiped with air-con, TV, hot water shower. The hotel is affiliated with a bigger hotel therefore breakfast (which is the best buffet breakfast i had in sri lanka) was at the other hotel with a free tuk tuk or short walk via beautiful village. Elephant viewing even swimming pool is also available at the other hotel. The contact person Andrew is such a nice gentleman that he arranged everything perfectly. The host family is also very friendly that they tried their best to entertain my 3-year old son and he really likes them.
