A simple little cottage on the banks of the Daugava River, in the middle of a meadow and next to a small pine forest, where you can enjoy peace and beautiful sunsets without the hustle and bustle of crowds. A chance to relax alone without meeting other holidaymakers. The cottage is located 5 minutes drive from Koknese - in a rural property, but far enough away from the owner's area to be able to relax undisturbed. A car can be parked next to the cottage. The cottage has a small kitchenette with kettle, small fridge, electric cooker and crockery. There is a barbecue and a fire pit on the bank of the river with a metal stand for cooking (firewood is available for an extra charge - ask the host). Drinking water and a shower with hot water are located outside the cottage. The dry toilet cabin is 50 m from the cottage. The river is 70 m from the cottage, the Riga-Daugavpils motorway is 250 m from the cottage and car traffic can be heard with the windows open. On one side you have peaceful nature and river, and on the other side, the motorway reminds you that you are not alone on this planet. :) The owners' house is 70 m beyond the small forest. There is a dog in the owners' area which is friendly and does not visit the guest area. If you are interested, ask the host about possibilities to use a boat or SUP boards. Water shoes can be useful if the water level is lowered. In 2024, the water level will be lowered from 14 August to 28 September. Fishing and swimming are allowed in the nearby Rīteri quarry lake. If you go SUP-boarding in the quarry, you can find a water lily cove. You can also ask the host about the possibility of accommodating more guests for an extra charge, or using the owners' sauna or fully equipped kitchen in the large guest house if available. These buildings are located 100 m from your cottage.

The host lives on the property. Growing edible hemp, making hemp butter and hemp milk is a long family tradition, so the host can tell you a lot about hemp and what you can make with it. At one time, the farm grew certified organic herbs, vegetables and hemp using organic and permaculture growing principles. Hobbies of the host include hiking, Cigun, using plants for health, nature-friendly lifestyle. In the large shared guest house you can see the owner's hobby - traditional straw home decors / ceiling mobiles "puzuri" (known as Himmeli in the Nordic countries).

The Riga - Daugavpils highway is 250 metres away. The Rīteri quarry lake is 300m away. The Hanseatic city of Koknese and the historic ruins of Koknese Castle are 6 km away. 5 km from Garden of Destiny / Likteņdārzs. 12 km from Liepkalni Bakery and Café and the Lokstene 'Dievturi' Shrine.
