Riad Ekla was amazing - exactly as portrayed in photos so no surprises. A calm oasis set inside the busy red city. Four of us were made very welcome, of course initially with mint tea. The Manager was pleasant and advised the most appropriate tours, restaurants, and routes for us, all staff were very attentive and helpful, everything was clean, and breakfasts nicely served on terrace. 2 of us had dinner one evening with freshly prepared food (beautifully spiced) in the kitchen. Dipping our feet in the courtyard pool was refreshing. I was sorry to leave!

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional. They where kind, enthousiastic, always there to help and to have a chat with you. They gave us recommandations of what to do in Marrakech and also the things you better should not do. In this way they made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.

High points: 1) staff are very polite, helpful and friendly especially Badr (from reception) and Redowan (waiter). If you have any issue or unexpected issue, they will advise, help and sort it out for you. 2) Beautiful boutique hotel with rooftop access as a (small) swimming pool in the middle with most Riads. 3) Great variety of food in breakfast. It varies day by day it seems but we stayed two nights and I particularly enjoyed one. 4) 8-10 mins walking distance to a local food market in the evening, Taxi compound, Yves Saint Laurent Museum and Jardin Majorelle in north west.

Riad piccolino ma ben tenuto. Si respira molta tranquillità e il personale è sempre a disposizione per qualunque richiesta. La posizione non è centralissima ma tutto è raggiungibile a piedi in 10/15 minuti. Le camere non sono troppo silenziose e la colazione è, seppur ricca, poco varia.
