Exceptional location in lush, green part of the island. The staff were wonderful and we particularly loved the private use of the sauna, outdoor yoga & sunset view bar. Outdoor bath & shower in our room was a real treat too. I can see why people return here!

We had a suite with private pool with sea view a little way from the main lodge so were transported by golf cart. Staff were excellent and meals had acceptable options. Extra cost al la carte also available. A perfect place for a complete chill out.

The rooms and settings have to be seen a truly hidden gem, the environment and staff were amazing, breakfast and dinner was excellent within a tropical paradise, I cannot emphasise enough how beautiful the surroundings were. Impossible to discribe these place. You must go to Lakaz Chamarel and live, all senses open. If you've enough money, take a 'villa' at the top with view on the bay.

Amazing breakfast and food. But the setting is the best of all. So green and lusious and such wonderful views from some villas. The walk to Pinot Cannot is amazing, takes 1 hour and the views from there are even better (with good hiking shoes). the walk starts right at the property.

Amazing location and facilities - each bungalow is carefully situated with gorgeous views and gardens so you feel you have the place to yourself, until you go down to the restaurant for breakfast & dinner. Small private pool, out door shower ❤️. Daily free yoga class 🧘🏻‍♀️- some days I was the only one taking part! Massages available, free bicycle use to explore the area (go for lunch at The Rhumerie, which includes a tour and rum tasting!), great to watch the sunset from the View Bar, complementary shuttle service to Le Morne Beach. Fantastic helpful friendly staff.

Location was a little far being in the mountains, but I appreciated the solitude and birdsong at my villa. The villa with the private pool was large and comfortable, and I enjoyed the choice of uphill walk or buggy to get to and fro. The staff are really excellent in their service and warm, friendly and caring. They made us feel very welcome, gave us good ideas on activities, arranged transport, and were great with my teenagers. Meal services were good and the restaurant staff all friendly and efficient even with a full house. During the occasional heavy downpour we enjoyed chess and scrabble in the common room. I enjoyed the French and Mauritian cuisine at dinner and appreciated the vegetarian options. Special mentions go to Peggy and Julie, the lovely hosts who helped book our transport and accommodated our requests. I would return for another stay.
