Excellent hosts who will also go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable. During our stay we were recommended a variety of place to go and visit, hiking trails, food and if you have a car, parking. The room was spacious and came with a separate kitchen, bathroom and balcony overlooking the property’s wonderful garden. We opted for breakfast (highly recommended!) and we had a spread of delicious food, fresh bread from a local bakery and fruits from the garden.

The room was spacious with good airconditioning, a comfortable big bed, terrace and kitchenette. The accomodation is in a good location near the beaches and national park. The host Jay went out of his way to make you feel at home. Lovely communal breakfast in the beautiful garden in the morning.

If we could rate Shanti Nivas 100/10 it still wouldn’t be enough. Jay runs his villa with love and exceptional care, so you truly feel like home. The apartment is spacious and equiped with everything you might need during your stay. Every morning started with a very tasty breakfast in Jay’s company - he told us a lot about Mauritius and also gave us many great tips for what to see and try in the island. If we ever come back, we will only stay in Shanti Nivas and you should do it as well :)

Shanti Nivas offers you outstanding accommodation and hospitality. We were welcomed by Jay and Henry with open arms and they made us feel at home right away. We had a beautiful room with a large and nice balcony where we could eat meals and enjoy the view of the garden. Every morning sitting in front of the garden we could enjoy breakfast prepared by Jay with other guests. Jay is always happy to share his knowledge about Mauritius and all the recommendations for activities. We really had a great time there and we really felt happy and comfortable.
