The cleanliness, I have never seen any hostel this clean. Every single aspect from shared bathrooms to shared corridors, everything was clean. They provide water, washing machine, iron and ironing board, and coffee in the common kitchen for free. The location is so good, you are just in the Georgetown still a bit away from all the crowd and chaos, but still near that you can reach everything walking around. For going a little further away the bus stop is also pretty nearby. For food, there are multiple eateries outside. And a great terrace as well. The room is a bit comact but it is enough for a solo traveller. If I go back to penang, would surely stay here.

Great location. Eugene is so lovely to all his guests! There is a fridge to keep any food or drinks you wish. Free tea / coffee is also available along with a filtered water machine to fill up water bottles. Free use of a washing machine is available here which is amazing!! Washing powder also included. Eugene also offers free leaflets with info about Georgetown food and activities. He also hands out complementary diary’s and calendars which was such a lovely touch. As a traveller I like to keep a diary of my travels so it was a very nice touch.

The staff and the location was amazing! We planned to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 5 nights. It is advisable to contact the staff directly for any requests or extensions, as they can be very flexible with room occupancy (so we changed the room after the first night). Although the equipment in the economy room is very basic, it is adequate for the money. The washing machine on the roof terrace, which can be used, is great.

This place was perfect for our 2 night stay in George Town. Good location. The room was modern, spacious, clean & comfortable. Shared bathroom facilities were also clean. Kitchen area with free water, tea & coffee is a great bonus. Plus there is a wash machine & powder available to use for free which is a amazing and a big rooftop area with plenty of clothes drying racks. Overall I could not fault this place for the price. I would recommend and stay here again.
