Ouhave Country Home is located on a working farm, 125 km south of Otjiwarongo and 15 minutes' drive from Osire. The farm offers luxury rooms and a self-catering cottage with a shared pool, sun terraces and a tower. The rooms are equipped with twin beds, fan and a private bathroom with a shower. The beds are draped with a mosquito net. The cottage offers a kitchenette, a fireplace and a bathroom with shower. The hosts can arrange home-cooked meals on advance request and for a surcharge. ree WiFi is available at Reception and free private parking is available on site. Some breaks are spontaneous, some are planned …. A trip to a cottage on the farm where cattle roam free and tranquility and pleasure abound. Then a visit to Farm Ouhave in the north-eastern region of Namibia should be on your wish list... We provide our guests with an opportunity to participate in our agri-tourism diversification, in particular the indigenous cattle from Africa: Nguni’s. Celebrate the breed from the past for the future, share the pride and love of possession of these indigenous cattle. The wide open spaces provide opportunities for game and bird watching, on hides or from the open vehicle. Other activities include hikes, picnics, relaxing at the pool or in the luscious garden and the most spectacular sunsets. Guests enjoy home-cooked meals in the lapa after a sundowner which can be enjoyed on the tower or the terrace. Accommodation options are Full Board, Bed and Breakfast or Camping. Ouhave is situated 15 km from Osire Refugee Camp which provides excellent opportunities for visitors to the camp to benefit from what Ouhave has to offer. For the weary traveler, Ouhave will offer you the opportunity to find inner peace in a lovely natural environment.
we are a family of four with the children in boarding school during the week. we are around 50 years young and actively working on the farm.
Our landscape is special because of the real wide openness. as far as the eye can see, openness. Under the ground we find many edible roots, above ground many medicinal herbs and shrubs. the Acacias are utilised in various ways - all this we show our guests with a guide. Our home is reachable even with heavy rains, no mudslides or 4x4 vehicles necessary. We have mostly sunny days with temperatures of up to 37 - sjoe! and winter is dry and cold with minimum of -3.... Rains in summer in the months from January to April. Nothing is very predictable today. :)
