Room was spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom amazing. Lovely communal area for dinner and a lovely pool to cool off. We ate at the property and all 3 meals were delicious, well done to Tjaard, especially for the Schnitzel and the amazing beef madras 👍 Tjaard was also incredibly helpful in assisting us with planning our onward trip through the Caprivi Strip.He helped us with the route and suggested places to stay within our budget... fantastic and thank you 😊

The good old Farmhouse vibe - authentic, tranquil & amp; accommodating. Air Conditioned en suite rooms with unlimited Wi-Fi access. Organic comfort food - home grown in the nutrient rich soil of the Northern Kalahari Desert. All meals are prepared by the hostess. Breakfast and dinner are served family style around a long table. The idea is to encourage socializing and to exchange information. Please book your dinner when making your reservation. Make sure to mention any dietary requirements or allergies. “It starts with people who don’t even know each other and they’re friends by the end of the night. It’s magical.”
Alda & Tjaart's experience ranges from managing restaurants in Windhoek to taking care of Guests on a house boat on the Chobe River in the Eastern Zambezi Region of Namibia. The inherent passion for hosting is an inseparable part of her life. All meals are prepared by the hostess.
Tutungeni is a peaceful suburb, centrally located within easy reach of any part of Rundu. Rundu Open Market, founded in 1996, is where you can find a wide variety of things, from local food and drinks to clothes, shoes, beans and flour. It’s an interesting place to pass through. You can see some Namibian crafts here and interact with the sellers - they are very friendly and welcoming to tourists. Although it’s not huge, it’s the largest open market in Rundu and depending on the time of day, it can be either crowded or rather empty. The Living Museum of the Mbunza - About 14 kilometres west of Rundu you can find The Living Museum of the Mbunza, a traditional school for culture and at the same time a communal business for the local people of the Kavango. With this sustainable project they will be able to preserve their traditional culture and to generate an additional income. A visit to Rundu gives you the opportunity to count hippos and crocodiles and wave to Angola. Lookout point within walking distance from Urban Farm Haus. If you take a boat cruise, it’s an interesting view to the other side of the river, where you can see small Angolan villages, most of them without access to electricity. You might also notice people bathing in the river or doing their laundry. Although it’s just a river that separates Namibia and Angola, the lifestyle seems very different. So even if Rundu might not be the most exciting place in the world, it’s worth it to stop and ponder. Sunset and day cruises available on request. Mashare Berries Farming - 50km East of Rundu "A privatized Namibian Green scheme project specializing in high-value crops like Blueberries and Avocados. Currently utilizing 60 ha of Blueberries under drip irrigation with commercial varieties and export markets around the world."
