The place is very pleasant. We liked the remoteness and the winter around us. The breakfast was special and aboundant enough to keep us going through the day. The cabin is comfortable and warm and one can see the sky through the glass ceiling. There is a restaurant reachable in 30 min in winter and another one a bit further away for summer - they also do take away to the cabin. The river Alta is close by as well. It is possible to enjoy all activities as there are places which provide the "experience". The place has a heated spa outside with jets which we did not try but people next door did and enjoyed it. There are walks and horse rides and sleigh rides in winter. The owners are friendly and accomodating, nice people! Alta is not far away, taxi costs 250 krøna; in summer it can be reached in one hour by foot and there is a bus from Alta to a restaurant from where it is just 30 min walk to the cabin.

Great lodge just a few minutes away from the city, perfectly for watching the northern lights under the glass roof or from the jacuzzi. The interior is very nice and clean and the people from Flatmoen Natur are very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend to google and book some activities from Flatmoen Natur when staying there.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night in the cabin, but it was a unique experience. We were only the third guests, so I can only give praise. The cabin was very clean and the interior was absolutely new. The equipment of the cabin is extremely well thought out and the electric bed is super comfortable. Unfortunately, we were a bit unlucky with the weather, but it was still wonderful to watch the northern lights from the hot tub, as well as from the bed. The whirlpool can also be used very well at -20 degrees. The country style breakfast with homemade bread that we got in the cabin was great and fits the atmosphere of the ranch.
