The farmhouse is part of our familyrun business "Storjord Gård" and is rented out as a guesthouse. Storjord Gård also runs a luxurious glampingsite with a dome, tinyhouse and outdoor jacuzzi. We also have a campervan that is possible to rent for both expeditions and on-site-farmstay with or without elecricity- and watersupply.

A traditional farmhouse with rustic and cosy feel to it. Its sited at the heart of the farm and is surronded by the other farmbuildings, the farms horses and the stunning views to the fjord and mountains. The farm is perfectly placed in one of Tromsøs hotspots for finding the worldfamous northern lights. According to the statistics you have about 95% chance of seeing it If you stay three days or more in this region. The basement where you’ll find wc, bathroom and a laundryroom is shared with the horseowners at the farm who also uses it. They have their own entrance so they wont bother you. If needed you can rent thermosuits, outdoor-equipment, fishingrods, icefishing-equipment and snowshoes so that you can explore the nearby possibilities by your self. We can also help organize transfer, dogsledding and snowmobile tours with our collaborators. The farm also offers a luxurious glamping site with a dome, tinyhouse and outdoor jacuzzi. All in all the farm can accomodate 18-20 persons at a time. The farm is also home for nine beautiful horses, chickens, hens and the stablecats Selma and Flora - and packs of wild reindeers that visits the surronding fields.

Storjord Gård is in the quite and cozy village Skulsfjord on Kvaløya. It 20 min drive from the airport and 25 from Tromsø City center. The farm is home to nine horses, two cats and a flock of chickens and hens. Wild reindeers walks next to the famehouse walls to gras on the farms fields. The farm collaborates with Klauv & Rake who produces tasty ecological vegetables and superhealty microgreens at the farm. They also offer guided tours where they tell about their exiting farming philosophy and in season its possible to harvest your own food. The fjord outside the farms private bay is packed with fish and its possible to fish also in the river that runs through the farms property. Closest store and restaurant is in Kvaløysletta so remember to bring your own food. Skulsfjord is reknown as one of THE hotspots for finding the worldfamous northern lights. Most our guests see it from the doorstep of the farmhouse and even through their bedroomwindow. We collaborate with other local companies in the region and can help organize dogsledding and snowmobile tours at the boarder of Finland two hours away. If you´re into hiking you have endless possibilities from the doorstep of the farmhouse; up valley, to the fjord, to bays and up mountains.
