The view is amazing. The house is filled with flowers, books and art. It’s so gorgeous! Oh, and there’s a black lab named Frankie! Brenda was the best host you could ever ask for (especially after the yucky farm stay we’d stayed the night before). In fact, when we pulled up here we thought it must be a scam as this place is spectacular! Breakfast was so delicious and I don’t normally eat breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the property and the host, Brenda, was wonderful! We arrived relatively late and had out choice of two rooms, which were shown to us by Brenda. Both rooms were clean and wonderfully appointed, with cozy blankets and beautiful towels in the bathroom. We loved the cozy nature of the shared spaces and being welcomed into the property with such warmth. The only surprise was the dog, which for those who are not comfortable could be an issue, but we loved the homeliness it added to the property. We were offered many different recommendations for the area of Christchurch, including food and sights, all of which helped us during our stay. Our breakfast was also delightful, many locally-sourced ingredients for jams, fruit on cereals and the eggs were prepared extremely well, all enjoyed with a spectacular view. We had a wonderful time staying with Brenda, and we will certainly stay again when we are in the region.

Brenda gave us a very warm welcome with something to drink. Which was nice after our journey. She gave us several suggestions for restaurants and things to do in and around Christchurch. Our room and the breakfasts were very good. If possible, we will come back.

Brenda's place is like a peaceful paradise. The views are to die for. The rooms are a good size and the bed is very comfortable. But those things are only a portion of whats so special about this accommodation. Brenda's care and personal touches make you feel very pampered. Her breakfast is put together with so much love and care, with beautiful home made preserves, cereals, custard, yogurt and fresh bread. Her beautiful home is full of surprises that treat all of the senses. We would love to come back some day.
