Our property was first bought by my grandparents in 1905, for a family holiday cottage. After they retired my parents bought the property in 1960's from them, and in the 1980's built a new holiday house to accommodate all the family. When my parents pasted away Steve and I bought the property in 2002, and started our Bed and Breakfast.

Steve and I (Margaret) have lived on the property since 2002, prior to that we lived in Richmond, Nelson, NZ, working as an Accountant/Trust Manager and myself in a Bank. We are semi retired, and do a lot of voluntary community work in our village. We have 2 sons married and a total of 4 beautiful grand children

We have great neighbours, to the west is a beautiful Chapel, which is open 24/7, and has a super view of Lake Rotoiti and the mountains, to the north is a holiday cottage occupied by its owners from Australia 4 - 6 weeks of the year, and to the east and south of our property is the Nelson Lakes National Park covering 102,000 hectare of native bush and many hiking/walking tracks and also Mountain bike tracks.
