Excellent location, clean, and comfortable. Also close to public transportation. Paige was a very good host, and I enjoyed our conversations. Strong wifi. Would definitely stay again.

Set in the Centre of Christchurch our home is just a 15 minute drive from the airport and a 10 minute walk to the city center. When staying here you'll have your own private bathroom, access to our kitchen, lounge and laundry. I Supply linen, towels, soaps, washing powder, breakfast cereals, Tea & Coffee and you'll have access to our WIFI
Myself (Paige) & cat Maisy are the hosts for this property, I also have a friend,flatmate who lives at property. I am originally from Ireland and moved to NZ in 2004, I lived in Nelson (top of the South Island) until 2018 when I then made the move to Christchurch (with a couple of years of travel in-between). I enjoy hosting and meeting all different types of guests from different walks of life and Maisy as a very affectionate cat so enjoys all the attention. We welcome anyone who stays to make themselves at home. The bedroom is located on the ground floor of the property and so is the bathroom this means guests have their privacy when they want it and if they want to socialize or learn about Christchurch eg good places to eat/what to get up to while your here or travel tips for Aotearoa New Zealand (only really have south Island tips though, sorry) then I'm usually around for a chat. The kitchen/Lounge is on the first floor so guests are welcome to come make food or tea/coffee whenever and I always leave a shelf available in Cupboard and Fridge for guests as well as a mini freezer in garage. I'm always available via text message or phone call if there's any questions regarding amenities eg how to use dishwasher, washing machine or how to operate heater in the room and happy to help with any issues . I really enjoy hosting and making sure every guest gets the most out of their stay in Christchurch.
Salisbury Street is located very close to the heart of the city with Hagley Park a straight 10 minute walk down the road and the City's famous Cathedral a 10 minute in the other direction leading you to the City Centre. Salisbury has free street parking (rare in the city), parking during the working week hours (9-4) can be a pain as city workers like free parking but there is usually a space and lots after/before these hours and on the weekend. The street parking is safe with only one incident in the last 5 years I've lived here. The house is down a driveway away from street noise with the house double glazed to help with any noise (usually a pretty quite street anyway).
