The accomodation is located 500 meters above sea level on 8.5acres of land, 5 acres is QE2 rain forest with short walks and beautiful river running through it. Enjoy a peaceful luxury lifestyle living at affordable price, surrounded by nature, streams and enjoy spectacular views over the ocean, country landscape and city as well as the mountain. We offer two huge queen rooms with mountain, sea and garden views, private bathrooms and huge kitchen, dining and living area. Every part of the house has huge windows looking at the gardens, mountain or sea. (Even the toilet). People who stay simply go “WOW” and sigh saying it’s the best place they have stayed. The bedroom alone is larger than 95% of cabins. It’s quiet, serene and isolated, located 100 meters away from the road, lots of native birds, wildlife and on a good night the Milky Way is spectacular. The living area has a 50” flat screen tv and multi room sound system for easy listening. Come and experience peaceful lifestyle living at its best. The suites have their own table and chairs for private dining and flat screen tv. Meals can be provided and other requests are welcome.

I generally greet guests when they arrive, show them around, answer any questions and if asked offer recommendations regarding anything. Guest privacy is important, I am however always available to help guests and am happy to engage conversation. If given 24hrs notice am also a great cook so if you want dinner, message me well In advance to discuss my specialties and costs.

A lot of people come here to walk the mangorei track up to mount pouakai and the "Tarns" lake to view the mountain. Some do the pouakai circuit track so I offer a shuttle service to drop off and pick up guests if required. Pukekura park, pukeiti and Tupare gardens are 10-15 minutes away and the north Egmont visitor centre is nearby. Golf course is five minutes away. A pristine protected (QE2) ancient rainforest and te henui stream are here for you to explore and appreciate nature.
