From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Karen and shown into the kitchen where the smell of her freshly baked bread greeted us. Hilltop Haven is exactly how it sounds with views looking out over the beautiful rolling green hills with glimpses of water in the distance, the gardens surrounding the house are beautiful and give a sense of peace.. I would highly recommend. Karen is only to happy to help with any local information etc you may need. We had a very comfortable, relaxing stay.

Absolutely loved this place to stay, everything is thought of, down to the last detail, can raid the vegetable garden for your night meal, with a fig tree full of fruit outside your door , what more could you want! The managing couple absolutely bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable and memorable. A great stop off if your going further North in New Zealand 😍

This is without a doubt the single greatest place we have every stayed at. An active farm, nestled between green rolling hills in the middle of nowhere with hosts that will make you feel like you are visiting old friends. Their hospitality is beyond what words can express. The place was spotless clean, extremely spacious and equipped with everything one could ever need. Especially the kitchen is a highlight in that regard. Pair that with a prosperous little garden you are allowed (even encouraged) to use and the fresh bread Karyn made, this place is truly exceptional.

Stunning location. 360 views of rolling hills and glimpses of sea. Beautiful 2 bed well-appointed accommodation. Recently refurbished to high standard. The hosts have outstanding taste and style. Incredible hospitality and care. Whole experience was made even better by the phenomenal hosts. We have done a wonderful NZ road trip and this was the best stay by far. BBQ, fire pit, star gazing. Ultimate comfort. Highest possible recommendation (which is a first for us!)

It was perfect for our needs. A continental style breakfast with fresh home baked bread or waffles if you wanted, cereals and fruit juice. The kitchen area generally was as good as any we have seen. Great hosts friendly helpful but not in any way overbearing.
