Our guest room is on the top floor, in our split 3 level home. The middle floor contains the living area, lounge, dining room and kitchen, and is shared with us. Our bedrooms are located on the lower level, well away from our guest room. My grown up son Sam, and I live downstairs with our friendly dog Zadie. (If you aren't a big fan of dogs, we recommend looking for alternative accommodation, as Zadie is a big part of our family, and joins us wherever we may be at home).
Sam and I enjoy walking with Zadie, photography, and we love getting to know new people and hearing their stories. I also enjoy travel, in particular South East Asia. During the summer months kayaking is at the top of my list, and I enjoy (but am not that good at) a bit of gardening and find it rewarding when successful at growing our own fruits and veges for summer salads. I'm usually not far away, and run my bookkeeping business from home.
We are perched above the mighty Shotover River, in old Arthurs Point. Our neighborhood is safe, a hidden gem, appreciated for its more laid back feel, and a short distance from the hustle and bustle of town. The mountain views are different every day, and are there to be enjoyed by our guests. Within 15 minutes drive you can be at the Coronet Peak base building for some fun on the slopes. We are a stones throw from the Shotover Jet, Canyon Swing, Strike Bowl, Cargo Brewery, Canyon Brewery, and the Onsen Hot Pools.
