Our place is in a beautiful rural setting overlooking Lake Rotorua and directly opposite Rotorua town. The lights of the town sparkle across the lake at night and the view is spectacular no matter what the weather or time of day. It’s a 20 minute drive into Rotorua town centre. The room was finished in November 2021 after a complete re-build and installation of a new bathroom with a huge shower. No expense was spared! It was specifically set up for BnB guests although we sometimes are booked out with longer term stays of up to a month. We provide a continental breakfast basket on day 1 sufficient for 2-3 days. We use top quality linen on your queen sized bed and the luxurious duvet is filled with 95% Hungarian goose down. Lovely Champagne, wine and beer glasses are included and a new Samsung picture TV has access to Freeview channels, Netflix and YouTube. The room is heated (or cooled) with an efficient Mitsubishi Black heat pump. There is a small fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle and a decent sized wardrobe with a shelf for suitcases.

Roy is originally a fire fighter now a Training Development Manager with Fire and Emergency NZ. I am a nurse trained in Northern Ireland but spent many years as a medical representative for pharmaceutical companies and then a representative in the telecommunications industry. We will endeavour to make you feel very welcome whilst respecting your privacy. Whether you are out sightseeing or just want to chill and feel at home this is the place for you.

Our closest attraction is Hamurana Springs which is a couple of kilometres (3 minutes by car) down the road from us. It’s a "must see" with stately redwood trees, bubbling springs and crystal clear deep water flowing out into Lake Rotorua. The Hamurana golf course and club is by the springs. Meals are served but it pays to check as this hasn’t been fully open recently. The lakefront reserve is opposite and is a great place to have a walk, BBQ or just sit and stare across the water.
