The Fish and Jandal is a beautiful, self-contained (one bedroom) apartment, located in McLeod Bay, Whangarei Heads, 26 km from Whangarei Town Centre. The air-conditioned spacious apartment is seconds from the beach and has amazing unobstructed views of the bay. It is a “home away from home” with a fully equipped kitchen (including pantry essentials, an oven, ceramic cooktop, and microwave), and has a separate bedroom, spacious bathroom, its own laundry room and sun terrace. There is also a flat-screen TV (Sky including Movies and Sport) and good cell phone coverage. Host will welcome guests with a complimentary glass of wine on arrival and they also provide complimentary unlimited WiFi, free use of a BBQ, 2-person kayak, life jackets and snorkel gear. It is highly recommended to come and stay for at least 2 days as guests often wished they had stayed for longer. PLEASE NOTE: smoking is allowed outside only

We really enjoy living in Whangarei Heads where we can walk the various scenic walking tracks, swim, kayak and go fishing! My husband greatly enjoys fishing and we frequently go out on the boat to catch fresh fish. We have everything you need for a great get-away or holiday.

McLeod Bay is one of the most popular and picturesque bays along the scenic coast of Whangarei Heads peninsula. It is a very safe community with an ever changing view of the Bay (from boats, fisherman, and other water activities). Close to many stunning scenic coastal and mountain walks, a marine reserve, and a beautiful surfing beach (Oceans Beach) with its white sand dunes. Perfect for a wonderful escape/holiday/break or rest. Also, we are within walking distance to a cafe/takeaway, and only 6 minutes’ drive away is a supermarket, gym, bakery, café, bottle store, and hairdresser. The fabulous Parua Bay Tavern is only 10 minutes’ drive away. Please note: It is recommended to arrive before evening as Whangarei Heads Road has no road lighting in some areas and, unless you are familiar with NZ roads, this can be a little dangerous.
