Everything was fantastic, including our lovely host. The lodge is in a beautiful spot and lovelier than the pics. The view is just wow. The property is clean, cosy and the furniture in the lodge is comfortable, well thought out and in great condition. My sister inlaw was delighted to be greeted by the hosts lovely dog.

In the main building there is a shared lounge with a log fire and a fully equipped shared kitchen and shared bathrooms. The Old Slaughterhouse Traveller's Lodge is located on a steep hillside, 100 metres above the Tasman Sea. It is only accessible by a 10-minute bush walk up the hill. The hosts can transport your luggage via prior arrangement. The lodge is 30 km north of Westport.
