Villa “Camu camu” is hidden in the Amazon jungle close to Iquitos. The villa is located on a natural aguajale lake with a picturesque view on palms. It is a place where you can connect to nature, enjoy the lake on sup board, relax listening to vinyl or explore the jungle. Camu camu is a small bushy tree with dark red fruits growing near the villa. The fruit is considered a superfood due to a high content of certain nutrients and powerful plant compounds, including vitamin C. The villa offers all for a comfortable stay: kingsize bed with mosquito net, relax zone, dining area, private shower and toilet, spacious terrace with a net to relax on it, single bed on a second floor. The villa and furniture are made with local materials extracted in a sustainable way. It runs on solar panels. Family from the local community Santa Clara will host you arranging transfer and excursions, offering traditional food (for additional fee) and help with everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. They speak Spanish (downloading Google translate in advance helps in case you don't). Please pay for extra services in soles directly to the family. We are trying to support the local community and people there.
The first time I was in Amazonian jungle in 2020. I felt in love with the nature around and the local people. I was really happy to meet like-minded people to create such peaceful place.
The villa is located in Amazon jungle close to Iquitos. It takes 35 minutes by boat from Iquitos to Santa Clara. If lucky, you can watch pink dolphins :) And 30 minutes on foot through the real jungle. The meeting point to get to the villa is at the downtown of Iquitos at 9 am. Excursions could be arranged for additional price (in Spanish): Night walk in jungle - 1 hour; Primary forest in Amazon - 4 hours; Local communities of Amazonia - 8 hours; Monkey island and pink dolphins - 6 hours
