I am your host, Trini Dawson. I extend my warm welcome to you to my residence in Baclayon, Bohol, Philippines! We are excited to expect and pray for your pleasant trip.
I manage Villa 301 B & B, along with my full time staff Helen, who is also friendly, involved in welcoming guests and in running the operation.
We have other call-in staff such as assistant, maintenance, electrician, plumber and carpenter as needed to keep a smooth operation. We have contact persons, given advance notice, for home service should you need a massage, haircut or manicure and pedicure We enjoy preparing for your visit and helping you upon arrival with facilities in exploring our locality and other places of interest. Please feel comfortable of how may we be of further help.
I am well travelled. I love sharing highlight as the occasion arises, like having been to places where guests come from or have ventured.
I like easy listening to classical music, singing, dancing, piano-playing, reading historical books, occasional cross stitching projects of the Madonna and Child and angels. I enjoy arranging gardens and decorating. Whenever, I need to wait in airports, stopovers or offices, I pass the time enjoying crossword, number puzzles or word jumble-solving, or reading. Time well spent!
I am a Chemical Engineer, was employed mostly abroad in Pharmaceuticals Quality Assurance supervisory/management. I retired early then, and travelled the world with my husband, Dan. My work experience enables me to establish Standard Operating Procedures for my accommodation property. This is the guideline and documentation for on-the-job or refresher health and safety training for staff and assistants.
I follow a healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, while keeping active and positive. I don't smoke or drink habitually. I care for sustainable environment; I , manage our resources with proper waste disposal which is practised by staff, as well as applying good ideals in guest service.

The frontage is flanked by two trimmed ylang-ylang trees that normally grow in the forest. The blooms, which are used as ingredients in perfume, exude fragrance in early morning and early evening. The property is all ground level, well-treed, with several gardens, fish pond and sheltered outdoor seating areas. It is enclosed in concrete fencing and iron gates. Sight and sounds of nature abound with chirping birds, flowers, and butterflies.
We are located just two short blocks north off the coastal highway and public market; hence, away from traffic noise and pollution. It's a short walk for sightseeing to the sea wall for promenade, or to the historic oldest church, to the public market for fresh fruits, baked goods, personal shopping, to restaurants.
Our facility is composed of six bedroom units to suit your budget For additional air circulation, each unit has a fan, with air conditioning as well. The shower and toilet are in separate rooms for convenience.

Our neighbourhood is safe, friendly and orderly, with beautiful houses on paved streets. The oldest stone church, The Immaculate Conception , museum, sea wall, public market, restaurants are visible as you enter the main drag of the town. Ample public transportation or tuktuks can take you to the city, for reasonable rates. to attractions and back. The no entrance fee public museum in nearby Tagbilaran City is near the rotunda across the cathedral, Or call on the tourist transport facility right next door, or several choices of motor bikes on site rental or delivery. Your foreign driver's license is required to rent one. Our staff can assist you with arranged driver and car, or tuk-tuks when preferred to take you back to the seaport or airport when you check out.
A quaint mini-store is just across the property for your cold alcoholic or soda refreshments and sundries
Crescencia is a quaint sit in restaurant along the highway, open by 10 a.m. Genaro's Grill is at the starting point of the sea wall open by 2 p.m. Food display table lets you choose which ones to grill, or from the menu. Live entertainment happens on weekend evenings and into the late hours. A sit in or take out menu is available inside the public market where the locals go when affordable Filipino cuisine is preferred, They open early morning.
The seawall (Baluarte) is great for jogging/ strolling with ample bench seating to watch the boats, sunset/sunrise. This is well lit-up in the early evenings to daybreak. During high tides swimming can be enjoyed here. There are spots dedicated for boat docking to take you when you choose to visit Pamilacan Island, visible from there.
At barbecue stalls in the evenings along the other side, the locals also enjoy low priced food. The market is open daily for buying various fruits, local snacks, sandals, etc.
A laundromat is at walking distance -leave your laundry in the morning and pick it up washed, dried and folded at the end of the day.
