Casa dos Romana is managed by a family society, created in 2019 for the exploration of the house on the Local Accommodation regime (94592 / AL). The House of the family Romana was built in 1967. Later, it benefited from remodelling works. The family is originated from Alentejo region of Odemira and Grândola, the connections to Melides dating back to the 1940´s decade Over the past 50 years the House has been used exclusively by the Romana family and many friends. For several reasons the family decided to share their space with the world, giving many the possibility to experience the magic of the place, in the first person.

Casa dos Romana, your private hideaway a step away from the famous beach of Melides. The House benefits from a location and exceptional conditions, whether for a quiet break or for a fun group or family holiday. The House has all the necessary conditions to comfortably accommodate 10 people, having a large living room with fireplace and TV / DVD/HI-FI systems, a fully equipped kitchen with an Alentejo style fireplace, 5 bedrooms, 3 toilets, a working area/library, a barbecue area and a laundry room. For greater comfort and safety, the House is equipped with mosquito nets in all rooms, fire extinguishers, stove blanket, detectors with alarm for Smoke and Carbon Monoxide and emergency lights. Enjoy the breath taking panoramic view over the lagoon and ocean. The house is surrounded by a large garden of 3000 m2 fully fenced, a shed for 3 cars and a pool of 40m2. The 30 m2 porch is suitable for family meals, for a comfortable moment of rest and reading, for watching the movements in the swimming pool or simply to enjoy the fantastic view. Pets are welcome against an extra cleaning lupsum fee.

After arrival, you can park your car and make your living on foot. Bring the surfboard, canoe, paddle, bike and enjoy the forest, the dunes, the lagoon or the sea. The beach is less than 500m and you can use the pedestrian trail next to the Lagoon. On the beach you will find 3 restaurants and 2 bars for your meals, snack or drinks. The camping park is 400m away and offers an ATM, supermarket and restaurant. The village of Melides is 7 km away and offers extra services: traditional market, fish market, butchers, supermarkets, post office, pharmacy, gas station, restaurants and ATM. In the cultural sphere and in the vicinity, a visit to the fountain of the eyes, to the Matriz church, to the necropolis of the Cistas das Casas Velhas and to the Moagem of Melides. A few tens of kilometres away you can visit the Roman ruins of Miróbriga (Santiago do Cacém), Cetóbriga (Setúbal) and Troia. For the youngsters and grownups , Badoka Park (15km) provides a well spent afternoon among wild animals. You can taste the rich gastronomic traditions of the region in the restaurants of reference: Rice Museum (Comporta), Rosa dos Patos (Aberta Nova), Chez Daniel (Santo André), Sublime (Runa).
