The apartment was spotlessly clean, well furnished and really well located near St Katrines Park and a short walk into the centre of Funchal. There were several excellent restaurants just around the corner. The sea view from the balcony apartment was wonderful with sun all day long. Andreina (our hostess) was so helpful providing us copious details to make our stay really enjoyable. She arranged the taxi driver Alex, to collect us at the airport and return on the day of our departure. The kitchen was modern with all necessary equipment ( great for us as we like self catering). A short walk to the large shopping plaza was perfect for our everyday provisions. This is a beautiful apartment for a family vacation in Funchal.

Dona I House in Funchal was the perfect home away from home. We are a family of 5 with small children so for us it was the ideal space. The kitchen had all the appliances you will need. In addition, basic things like dish soap, detergent, napkins, olive oil, salt and pepper were available. Andreina was indeed an amazing host, friendly and helpful all the way from check-in to check-out. The balcony was so pleasant to have a coffee in the morning or reading a book. The location of the apartment was also perfect! Santa Catarina park was 5 min walking distance. I really recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, spacious and well-equipped apartment in a fantastic location within easy walking distance of all that Funchal has to offer! Loved enjoying a coffee on the balcony every morning with an amazing view over the bay :) Some really fantastic restaurants, shops and bars within easy reach, as well as great public transport links very close by, and Andreina is a brilliant, friendly and helpful host! I really couldn't imagine a better place to stay for a week in Madeira!

Very nice apartment, centrally located, well equipped, close to the city centre, restaurants close by..... apt is in a new modern building. The owner was waiting for us in the building to give us the keys and explained everything. She helped us when needed during our stay. Apartment is big, with 3 bedrooms, a balcony with a beautiful view on the ocean. We liked it very much and would definitely come back.

A very comfortable apartment close to the Funchal city center and the port. We just loved the mornings with breakfast and coffee on the balcony viewing the ocean and the evenings there with a glass of wine (in between we discovered the beauties of Madeira). 3 very nice airy bedrooms, 2 wonderful and clean bathrooms offered us a full comfort. The kitchen is fully equiped, providing space to cook and prepare nice dishes. 2 different coffee machines give just enough possibilities to each coffee lover. Last but not the least - the host was really nice, giving us all information we needed and providing us with useful tips for travelling and restaurants. The free parking is perfect if you rent a car. I really recommend Dona I house for a stay in Funchal Madeira.
