The host and his nephew met us upon arrival to give us the key and show the property. Both were very kind and gave great tips about the surrounding area! The property had everything you might need. As long as you got there by car, it was very easy to visit the beautiful surrounding areas and the rest of the island (city center is ca 45min away). It is only a 20 minute drive to one of the best views of the island (Miradouro da Boca do Inferno), allowing you to get there earlier than everyone else coming from the city center.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very cosy, felt like home. Got the kitchen with main amenities for quiet night at home. We’re not drinkers (coffee and wine) but we appreciated the welcome gift. Although very well decorated, it is still child proof. My 3 years old did not break anything. The location was a bit outside Sete Cidades but easily done by walk and was a good location for hiking trails and Mosteiros by car.

we stayed 4 days in the Front House which has a sea view of Lagoa Azul. The interior of the House was modern and super cozy (Not the same as in the pictures on booking), we really loved the sleeping room/space upstairs. the kitchen was well equipped and spacious. there is even a mini market just two houses away. also there is a Small Supermarket in the village. José was a very friendly Host and you could always contact him By phone.

We loved this house as a base for exploring the nearby lagoons and hikes. It's only a short drive from other communities with larger grocery stores and not far from the coast. The house is very comfortable with a very well-equipped kitchen, including a massive fridge and the best selection of glassware and cups/dishes we seen in any similar rental! Jose is a very friendly host. Would definitely recommend this home.
