Set in the foothills of the Sicó mountain range, our Bed and Breakfast is the ideal place for whom wants to enjoy nature and tranquillity. Our place is in the small quiet village, less than 2 km away from Ansiao town centre. From both bedrooms you can hear birds, owls, woodpeckers at times,... To keep the quietness of our place and allow all our guests to rest, we have chosen not to have any TV in the bedrooms or the dining-room. Our house is in a very picturesque little village with very friendly neighbours. We are also close to the Caminho de Santiago, the Carmelites Way and the Caminho de Fatima. So if you are a pilgrim and want to spend the night in a very rural and peaceful location, our Bed and Breakfast is ideal. We can even pick you up from Ansiao and bring you back to the Camino the next day. We use as much as possible products we grow in the garden for breakfast. We have fruit trees that give at different times of the year and part of our garden is accessible to guests. We love animals too and are surrounded by our two dogs, Branco and Liba. They are kept away from guests unless guests request to see them and have them around. We also have cats, chickens and ducks. Our chickens provide us with eggs daily which we are pleased to share with you for breakfast.

My husband and I moved to Portugal in 2018. I was born in Portugal but grew up in France and moved to England for 20 years. Stephen is from England. We found our home in a small village very close to Ansiao. We decided to share our home with anybody who loves nature, peace, walks,... It is very central. Beaches are at 40 min and river beach at 15 min. Come and enjoy the tranquillity of this place.

We live in a very rural village at the top of a hill with magnificent views (300 m altitude). There are lots of walks you can do around the village. Depending on the season, you can see a huge variety of flowers. There is quite a varied fauna as well. People in the village are a mix. There are foreign people who have settled down in the village but not all year round, and villagers that have lived there all their lives. You can see new homes but also very old stone ruins. If you want a bit of authenticity, you can go and have a drink at Adelino's bar/shop 50 m from the house.
