Breakfast was fantastic, gin-o-clock is wonderful. The beds are so comfortable I genuinely fell asleep in 5 minutes after testing it. The hosts take great care to make you feel welcomed and have huge hearts.

This is a great property located just outside Ponta Delgada and not far from the main road links. It's a quiet location that is tastefully restored. This was one of the best properties we’ve stayed in. The fact that there are no children under 16 allowed on site is paradise if you are neurodivergent or just enjoy a more calm environment, and the cats are great therapy. The staff are really friendly and the location, building and facilities are superb. It’s been built with love and it shows.

Everything about this estate was amazing and you can tell the owners have thought about every little detail! Our room was perfect. When my husband, who travels for work, says “this room is way nicer than any Marriot room I’ve ever stayed in” you know it’s great! The bed was comfy, and we had everything we need and more (welcome beers, robes, glass wear with coffee maker, towel warmer, etc). The breakfast in the morning was so delicious with fresh jams, fruit, breads and yogurt. The Gin Library is so cool and the complementary gin drink they made us was exceptional! The only thing I was disappointed in is that we missed having dinner on site because they were not hosting it on the evening we were there; however, Caroline made a reservation for us at an amazing restaurant in Ponta Delgada an 8 min drive away. I can’t recommend this enough! Thanks for an amazing stay.

The hotel is well situated near the Ponta Delgada and centrally located to most of the island's attractions. Caroline and Ali are fabulous hostesses, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple but nicely done; the outdoor hot shower was really excellent. We were able to check in as early as 8 am. Caroline communicated with us from the day of the booking and helped with dinner arrangements. Breakfast was really nice, with most of the local food. The Gin Library introduced us to the world's unheard amount of gins, and Ali is a great entertainer and a big gin admirer.
