From the moment you arrive there is a feeling of being welcomed. For ever aspect of our stay Luís was there to assist, from restaurant reservations to trail info. Bella made us a welcome basket and homemade treats. For New Years there was champagne! Truly an amazing place in the most beautiful of settings.

Set in a condominium next to Figueiral-Prainha Nature Reserve of the Santa Maria Island, Azores, Villa Natura is a 2-bedroom house that offers direct access to Praia Formosa. Villa Natura is equipped with lamps with LED technology and double windows with thermal cut-out, providing maximum optimisation of the wood-burning stove heater. In addition, the property is covered with natural cork, equipped with solar water heating and waste separation containers. Guests may prepare their own meals using the fully equipped kitchen and the property is surrounded by gardens allowing al fresco meals while contemplating the sea and the surrounding landscape. The nearby beach is a well-known surf spot with clear sand and warm waters. Santa Maria Airport is 6 km away.

Villa Natura is a village located in a gated community, shared with the owners living in another dwelling nearby, based on a self-cattering concept. Villa Natura is on the sea front of Praia Formosa, with direct access to the beach. Villa Natura is a ECO project, which is mirrored in the Prize awarding projects "Miosotis Azores" involved in sustainable tourism, and recently was awarded. Our property is entered in the Figueiral-Prainha Nature Reserve, and the trail of Fossils (South Coast rail) runs past this limit. Villa Natura is lined by outdoor with natural cork. The windows are double, with thermal cut-out. We have a wood stove for heating. All electrical equipment is class A or A +, and lamps using LED technology. Water heating is solar. There is also a traditional oven and a aromatic plants garden. We have containers for waste separation and a combustor for the waste. On the property there is a garden, with a privileged place for contemplation of the sea and the surrounding landscape. We have a private access to the beach and the South Coast trail.

In front of Villa Natura, there is a surf spot where it is customary to be practicing all year. With about 1.5 Km the 3 beaches of Praia Formosa are of clear sand . Sometimes in winter they lose almost entirely sand, however there is a location where this resists. In summer the water is around 24° C and in winter the 17º C.
