I must admit that, having made a booking for a stay at Villa Alma, I ended up being forced to cancel it at the last minute for unforeseen reasons. Under the reservation terms, I would still be required to bear a full charge - but the utterly courteous and understanding manner in which the property handled my request to waive that charge is by itself deserving of all praise. I will most certainly try to come and visit at a later date and will recommend the property to other people as well.

This family-owned hotel in Visby’s attractive Almedalen Park is 30 metres from the Baltic Sea. It offers free Wi-Fi, along with tastefully and individually decorated rooms. A flat-screen TV, seating area and private bathroom with shower are featured in each room at Almedalens Hotell. All have views of either the Baltic Sea or Almedalen Park. Breakfast is served in the communal dining room. Hotell Almedalen also provides luggage storage. DBW’s Botanical Garden is 3 minutes’ walk away, while the Hälsans Stig hiking trail is 1 km from the hotel. Gotska Golf Club is 4 km away.
Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.9 for a two-person trip.
