Our family spent a week at Yak's and we loved both the whole Klong Kloi area and the bungalows. The "village" is an amazing chill out place with a lovely beach and restaurants. Yak's bungalows might be basic and you will meet all sorts of insects and lizards around but the place has a great vibe. Yak is a tremendous host, with always a smile on his face and ready to help with anything you need. We also liked the communal kitchen where we could make breakfasts and lunches.

Incredible peace. Really good fan and mosquito net. Clean, private space. Hammock. Access to kitchen and washing machine. Nice towels that dry fast (new ones on request). Everything you need just at a base level. Really great, friendly host ready to assist at any time; I needed a light cover for at night because they don’t come standard in the room (it’s very hot and would be a huge bunch of wasted laundry if they did) and was supplied one instantly :) Also Ginger Home restaurant with lots of veggie dishes and a cheap cocktail option just a few meters away!

I loved the sounds of nature and how peaceful it was to stay here. Yak bungalows has a lovely relaxed host who is very friendly and welcoming. You have use of a small communal kitchen with kettle and fridge. The huts you stay in are compact but perfectly adequate and have comfortable beds. The supply of a mosquito net was thoughtful. Staying here was very much like old style travelling in the Thai islands before everything got grander - and more expensive. The facilities are fairly basic but what more do you need than a roof over your head, a clean cosy bed and a warm welcome?

Yak the owner runs a lovely friendly bungalow operation, even turning into BBQ King for guests on request. Cooked fabulous white snapper with baked potatoes. The bungalows are proper old school, with good ventilation and a fan. Gecko's come as standard. Beds are comfortable with really good mosquito nets, which allow sound sleeping, bug free.

Yak is a great person!!! Wow we had the loviest and best bbq with him! Loved staying with Yak! Bungalow is simple but clean and everything you need! Right near the beach! Breakfast place around opposite it… perfect!

Super lovely and authentic bungalow. Nothing fancy but build with love. Yak is amazing. The place is quite, the town is like the hippie thai spot on Koh Chang. Loved it!
