Built in 1988 by renowned Indian architect Kirit Vora, the recipient of the AESA Lifetime Achievement Award and former Chief Designer with notable design firms HNTB, Giorgio Dazzan and Associates and Gibbs Architects. Vora is known for his process of achieving perfection in design and striving to achieve a “Total Environment” with his innovative and modernistic design approach, designing in an overall context of the urban environment, site, topography and climate. The house was later bought by architect Robert Kessel for his personal use and completely renovated. Kessel added a magnificent deck overlooking the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. What makes the home so special? It’s quiet, secluded and nestled in the mountains. Views to the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. Abundant wildlife: birds, deer, peacocks, bobcats and the occasional bear or coyote. Pool, spa, palapa and outdoor and indoor grills. Four floors so every bedroom has its own floor. Dozens and dozens of games, including ping pong, pool, foosball, cornhole, roulette, and many more. A Mason &Hamlin grand piano, drums, trumpet, musical keyboard & bass.
