This is an historic 100+ year old Edwardian that has been completely renovated. You will be staying in your own private penthouse flat on the top floor of this Edwardian Mansion on a private estate with bay views and only 13 minutes away from San Francisco and 45 minutes away from Napa wine country. From the living room you can see the bay outside the 14' panoramic window. There are also chickens on this property so you may even get some fresh organic eggs in the morning.
I spent 3 years completely renovating my Edwardian mansion all the way down to the studs doing my best to preserve the charm of this 100+ year old house. My wife Trang spent most of her life helping her parents grow coffee in Vietnam. Now she helps me raise chickens in our backyard along with tending to a garden and enjoying our many fruit trees on the property. Guests have access to the full apartment listed and to the back deck (farthest from the road). We ask that guests don't use the deck closest to the road as that is an emergency fire escape.
This is an old neighborhood and our street used to be the old 101. This mansion was built at a time when there were no cars so the road winds up the side of a hill to the top of the hill where the house was built. The Larkspur Ferry is 10 minutes away by bicycle or a 35 minute walk and can take you right to SF near all the attractions like Pier 39. I highly recommend taking the Ferry as it's a breathtaking experience. The property is close to where the 580 and 101 meet so it's very easy to get to SF, the east bay or up to Napa. It's very central and a commuter's dream.
