Á la Mer in Agulhas is the ideal stop over to visit the most southern tip of the continent. We are in walking distance to all amenities, the lighthouse, the most southern tip and the tidal pools. Agulhas is a quaint little town where you will feel safe to walk even at night. We are also petfriendly so your furry kids are welcome too. In the evenings you can enjoy your own braai on the interlocked terrace with the lighthouse lights and and the soothing sounds of the ocean keeping you company. Your host Corrie will be able to welcome you in Afrikaans, English, Dutch and German!
We both love meeting new people and will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We are always willing to make suggestions regarding the rest of your stay and tour through our beautiful country.
Our most popular attractions are the historical working lighthouse (since 1849), the most southern tip, the Cape Agulhas nature reserve, a beautiful gallery with works by local artists as well as a special wine boutique. We are also fotunate to have awonderful gift shop and a number of excellent restaurants.
