I loved the view, loved everything about the tent, the beds and the duvets was exceptional.. Outdoor kitchen and braai area was so nice.. Did not get to use the canoe but loved being there in rainy weather to...Enough confortable chairs to watch the view for every guest that can stay there would be nice..Definitely coming back!!!

Set in Sedgefield in the Western Cape Region, Bushbuck Camp is a self-catering, tented lodge set on the edge of a beautiful, secluded lake. The property is accessible via a dirt farm road, within a 15-minute drive of town, and offers barbecue facilities and lake views. Nestled amongst Milkwood trees, the tent is set on a large, wooden deck that offers easy access to the lake. It comprises of two rooms that are joined to an outdoor covered bathroom. The tent also features a rustic, outdoor kitchen fitted with a kettle, stovetop, microwave and toaster, as well as an outdoor dining area. Guests can make use of the canoes and paddle-boat to explore the lakes and river system, and fishing and birding is also popular. Free private parking is available on site. Goukamma Nature Reserve is within 10 km of Bushbuck Camp and Knysna is within 30 km. George Airport is within 50 km.

Experience tranquility and privacy in nature on the Garden Route. A nature lover's retreat with birds and bushbuck coming down to the waters edge to drink. Nestled in amongst the milkwood trees the bushtent sleeps a maximum of 4 people, and comprises of a main room with a double bed and a smaller room with 2 single beds. It has adjoining toilet and shower facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. An outside braai /barbeque area on the deck is also right next to the kitchen. The tent is situated on a remote lake which entails a 15 min drive on a bumpy farm road. Take the paddleboat or a canoe out and toast the sun sinking over the mountains with a sundowner as the fish skip across the water. Take a deep breath and let the beauty of the surroundings settle over you. Pack a lunch and take the canoes exploring up the two river systems that feed the vlei, watch out for the bright flashing colors of the Knysna Loerie and the multitude of other birds that are found in this exquisite Eco-system
Being located in Sedgefield, time has officially been slowed down for your holiday, so take advantage of it and explore the only nationally declared Slow Town in the world. The river mouth is a stunning place to enjoy the beauty of the lagoon meeting the sea and a walk around the island a must. On Saturday mornings, the Farmers Market is famous across the country for it's amazing variety of authentic home crafted goods and special farmer's breakfast. Cloud Nine, offers some of the most scenic paragliding in the country. Gerickes point is a stunning beach, with safe swimming, excellent surfing and beautiful walks on the low tide. Myoli Beach, is fast becoming a widely recognized Kitesurfing paradise with the guys from the Pili Pili Beach Bar located right there on Myoli Beach creating the whole kitesurfing vibe and making it a really interesting spot to visit, grab something to eat or have a sundowner.
