Our property has complete back-up system to negate Eskom Load shedding. We are only 4 km from the Karkloof Country Club and all their mountain bike trails. We're walking distance from all the attractions of The Old Mushroom Farm (shops, coffee, places to eat, occasional live events). A short walk gives breathtaking views of Albert Falls dam. Close proximity to Karkloof Canopy Tours (11km), Karkloof Conservancy (8km), Umgeni Nature Reserve (5km), Midmar Dam (11km) Karkloof Horse Adventures (3km).

I am a mom of four happy boys. I'm an Occupational Therapist and currently work with children. I love being outdoors, and enjoy peace and quiet. I enjoy growing my own veggies, but am still working on setting up our garden in our new small holding.

The Trails within the Sappi Plantations are extensive, creating a network covering 100's of kilometers. The Karkloof Classic Cycling and Trail Run is a major event in the area. Further along the Karkloof Road, is the Karkloof Canopy Tour; a worthwhile outing for the somewhat adventurous. The 10 ziplines weave their way through Indiginous Forest, and at times open up to breathtaking views of the valley. Very near by are the Karkloof falls. This green space is maintained by Sappi and offers beautifulviews of the falls, shaded picnic areas with plenty of mowed areas for children to stretch their legs. Above the falls are a series of rock pools perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day. Every Saturday morning the Karklook Farmer's market offers some local delights, from Wedgwood Nougat to fresh produce or breakfast and a coffee. As part of the Midlands Meander, we have convenient access to the Nelson Mandela Monument, Piggly Wiggly and a host of places to enjoy a meal. Midmar dam offers a great place to walk, picnic, kayak or enjoy other water sports.
