Goedemoed Farm is one of a few farms situated inside the residential area of Paarl. This makes it a great stay if you want to enjoy the tranquility and stunning views of a farm, and at the same time be close to the Cape Winelands and Paarl’s business and tourist center. Being so centrally situated between Stellenbosch, Franschoek, Wellington and Cape Town, our guest can explore the Winelands during the day, and come back to the tranquility of Goedemoed Farm in the evening. KWV’s Wine Emporium is 500 meters away and the Paarl Mall shopping center is 800m walk down the road and offers some of the big retail stores and restaurant chains. The Food Lovers Market across the road has a big variety of fresh, ready-made meals to choose from if you prefer to ‘eat in’. Joan, Barend, Virginia, Clyton and Zameka's all help to make Goedemoed Farm Guest House 'home away from home'. We love to make our guests happy and as comfortable as possible. Joan and her husband Barend lives on the property together with their dogs. They are proud of their organic garden and the vegetable patch and chickens that supplement their fresh cooking. Being the manager of a big table grape company, Barend likes to share his passion for farming with table grapes. All our guests are invited to enjoy a welcome drink on patio and enjoy the view of the vineyards and mountains.

Paarl is the third oldest town in South Africa and centrally situated in the Cape Winelands. Besides wine-tasting at our wineries, you can visit Babylonstoren, the Lion Park or the Cheetah sanctuary. Paarl Mountain, with it's huge granite rocks is a favorite attraction among locals for it's mountain trails and picnic spots as well as the Afrikaans Language Monument with it's lovely gardens and amphitheater. With Goedemoed Farm Guest House centrally situated close to the N1 highway, it takes no more than half a hour to get to either the Franschoek-, Stellenbosch-, Wellington- or Durbanville- Winelands respectively. The Cape Town beaches and V&A Waterfront is an hour's drive from Goedemoed Farm Guest House and I always suggest the red sightseeing bus to guest. They can hop on and off in the Waterfront for a careless drive around the Cape peninsula. Having lived in Paarl for 30 years, we love to give guests tips about the hidden gems in the area and help them make reservation.
