Master twin shower en suite. Guest wing two twin bedrooms and bath/shower room. Aircon in bedrooms. Fans all rooms. Open plan living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with cooker and oven, microwave, washer and tumble drier, large fridge freezer and chest deep freeze. Full DSTV. Daily maid service for cleaning and laundry. Large outdoor decks with gas BBG and outdoor dinning and entertaining. Outdoor showers, sinks and hangers for scuba equipment and fishermen. Two swimming pools in complex. Private security gated resort within World Heritage site Isimangaliso reserve with 24/7 security patrol. Five star PADI Dive Shop within resort. Wheelchair friendly house and resort. Own drinkable water supply and generators plus national grid. Self-catering plus hotel and local restaurants. Sub-tropical temperatures for all year round comfort. The ideal getaway, world famous for coral reefs, scuba-diving, whale sharks, humpbacks, deep sea fishing and Big Five five star game driving locally.
Born in Zululand, raised in Johannesburg and living in England for the last 39 years, I still have very strong roots in South Africa and because of my passion for scuba diving and game driving, I first discovered Sodwana Bay when it was still in its infancy and now own three private lodges within the Sodwana Bay Lodge resort.
Originally created for the scuba and deep sea fishing community. A gated complex sitting between the only road into town and Lake Shazibe, which is flanked on the far side by the most ancient vegetated sand dunes in the world, hiding the shoreline. The wooden Lodge complex contains a hotel, comprising two person chalets and family sized time-share lodges. Within the lodge grounds is a restaurant and bar complex, a swimming pool, a helipad, a 5 star PADI dive school, boat lockers and a hair and beauty salon. Ideal for families and larger groups. Antelope, mongooses, bush-babies and monkeys are daily sights. Fish eagles soar over the lake and hornbills call in the trees. Colourful shops locally for essentials, plus local bars and restaurants. The private gated pristine beach is a 2.5 mile drive through the bush. Rockpools for children to swim, surf for the adults. World famous coral reefs for scuba, world class deep sea fishing, whaleshark, whale and dolphin watching, snorkelling, leatherback turtle night drives. Five star Big Five game resorts within an hours drive including Phinda and Thanda. Thembe Elephant reserve a short drive away. Unspoiled World Heritage site. A must see.
