Company information

Built as a retirement project, Nick and Lyn live on the property. We have an open art class every Tuesday morning, which will soon be expanding to Saturday mornings as well. Gardening, painting, beading and sewing are Lyn's hobbies. Nick loves his motor bikes and classic cars as well as cycling to keep fit.

Property information

Spread over 4 hectares with a working rose propagation nursery and 80 varieties of roses, Hartley Manor / Just Roses is a jewel of a property. The project was grown out of the facility of the nursery with the Manor House with 6 Delux rooms en suite use of a central veranda and public space and self-catering cottages with 2 deluxe bedrooms and its own private space. Along with this are 7 Garden rooms by the nursery designed for the visitor who wants an over night stay and a comfortable bed with a travel basket breakfast at a competitive rate. Very quiet with lovely views of the mountains. We have a working rose nursery which guests are welcome to visit. Rooms are all named after roses and have roses planted outside. We are wanting to hold small intimate conferences/workshops for 10 - 15 people.

Neighbourhood information

The Rhino and Lion Park is a favourite place to visit along with Sterkfontein caves and Maropeng. Hartebeespoort Dam is an easy, scenic drive from here.
