Leopard Corner Lodge is under new ownership & management since 01 March 2021. Our Lodge has undergone a total renovation process and we now can accommodate a maximum of 26 guests in 9 en-suite rooms, all with balconies/patios, 3 rooms are equipped with spa-baths, two of our rooms are family units & 4 of our rooms are wheelchair disabled rooms. Leopard Corner is a 4 Star Luxury Lodge, located in the small town of St Lucia & situated on the edge of the forest/greenbelt area surrounding St Lucia. St Lucia forms part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, South Africa’s oldest Heritage Site. Leopard Corner is named after a young leopard who lives in the forest/greenbelt area adjacent to the Lodge. When the cycads are in bloom, it is common to see the many species of birds that come to feed on the variety of red seeds. St Lucia has the largest number of different bird species found together, in one place, out of the entire continent of Africa. All of the Guest Rooms at Leopard Corner Lodge are named after the prey of the majestic predator, the Leopard. From small antelope, like the Duiker, to huge trophy buck, like the Eland & Koedoe, Leopard Corner’s Room’s names cover an entire spectrum of possible “leopard food”. Leopard Corner Lodge is equipped with a Solar Energy System, a back-up 54 kva silent diesel generator and a borehole.

Tessa, our Lodge manager, previously managed two top lodges in St Lucia, namely Sandpiper Guest House and Lodge Afrique. She has proven to be a manager that knows how to entertain and keep guests happy & satisfied. Tessa has worked hard to be a sought after Lodge manager. We at Leopard Corner Lodge are privileged to have one of the best Lodge Managers in St Lucia in our employment. Guests visiting our Lodge will know what we mean when interacting with Tessa Bester.

List of Activities: Estuary boat cruises to see hippos, crocodiles and a wide variety of bird-life, such as, fish eagles, Goliath herons and more... Hluhluwe / iMfolozi Game Reserve safari excursions to see the Big 5 (guided tours or self-drive). Cape Vidal for snorkeling, hiking, a game self-drive, bird watching, wide open beaches, breathtaking vistas, and scenic picnic spots. Night and Chameleon Drives to Cape Vidal, with a highly experienced guide. Ocean Explore Fishing Adventure. View the 2nd highest vegetated sand dune in the world, the Jolly Rubino shipwreck, shoals of feeding frenzy fish and birdlife, Flying Fish and a diversity of marine life mammals while catching some fish for dinner at one of our favourite restuarants in town Electric Bike (Battery operated) tours in the forest and on the beach. Horse riding, bush and beach trails available. Bird watching, with 526 species in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park alone! Deep sea fishing with experienced career fisherman. (Salt water fly fishing and rock and surf fishing are also available.) Zulu Cultural Tours in the local Zulu village. Crocodile Center. Hiking trails, either alone or with a guide. Kayaking.
