This is a family-orientated unit (max 4 adults and two children) in the well-known and loved The Bridge complex, which borders the famous St Lucia Estuary. Our unit is ideal for a family looking to spend time surrounded by the verdant bush and wildlife of northern KwaZulu-Natal, but with easy access to the amenities of St Lucia village. The gardens, barbecue areas, and fenced pool, makes for long lazy evenings after a day at the beach, or exploring the many local game reserves. The Bridge do not allow any loud music and security will deal with address any issues. Guests are expected to follow The Bridge rules, and can be removed from the property if they cause issues.
St Lucia Village borders iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site. The beach at St Lucia is a few minutes drive away, and a northern exploration will take you as far as the renowned Cape Vidal through 34km of incredible unspoilt bushveld, vegetated sand dunes, and marine reserve boasting elephant, leopard, black and southern white rhino, Cape buffalo, and in the ocean, whales, dolphins, and marine turtles including the leatherback and loggerhead turtles. Cape Vidal is wonderful for observing marine life at low tide while snorkelling. The bay has a launch site for deep-sea fishing excursions, deep sea diving, and ski boats. The winter months are when you can see Humpback Whales in the sea, as they migrate up the East coast of South Africa on their way to Mozambique to give birth, and in summer Leatherback and Loggerhead sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.
