Vredelus is a farmstead and national monument. It is located on a working farm at the foot of the majestic Swartberg Mountains. Here is where guests can enjoy the bright stars and silence of the Little Karoo. Our 2 self-catering units are well equipped and tastefully decorated by mixing beautiful antiques with the modern. There is a large garden where guests can relax. Kids can play in the garden and on the swings while looking at the sheep. Guests are welcome to walk, jog or cycle on the scenic farm roads. Please take note: our units are not equipped with TV's but we do offer free wifi. The photo's on our profile include photo's of the main house. The self-catering units is not inside the main house.
I enjoy hosting guests and want my guests to feel welcome, valued and cared for. If I can't be at home when guests arrive, I will send information on hoe to self-check in. Once I am back home, I will greet guests an make sure the are settled in.
When visiting Vredelus Farm, guests can go on walks, do bird watching, or bring their own bicycle to explore the farm. The small town, de Rust, with its lovely restaurants and interesting shops are walking distance from the accommodation. The magnificent waterfall hidden in Meiringspoort are close to us. Other popular tourist attractions in the area Cango Wildlife Ranch, Swartberg pass, Cango Caves and Stompdrifdam.
