The building is unattractive, even in the promo pics, and it is in an unusual setting. You need to go through a security gate to get in (which I did not know). The inside is very nice. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous -- and included! Our bathroom was apparently a one-piece the builders could ship in on a truck and insert whole -- it looked surprising, but worked well. We had a bunch of stuff to sort, so an elevator was nice. I was surprised we were near the highway but I did not hear it.

The ibis Melun is a non-smoking hotel with free WiFi and free daily newspapers. very helpful and friendly front desk staff, they were very accommodating and gave us an early check-in as well as let us store some food in their fridge.
