The location is perfect, right at the centre of the town. The room is a bit small but enough for a short stay. The hotel has a room for solo traveller which is good value. Also, they prepare hot water for Asian guests (who does not used to drink tap water) at the lobby with tea bags and coffee. The staffs are very frirndly and helpful.

The family Grampelhuber were wonderful hosts. Mom, Dad, two sons, two daughter (in law), and two grandchildren, along with a fine and attentive staff. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was outstanding. Music filled the house. We will long look on our Austrian visit to Bad Goisern and Steegwirt fondly.

Although the view of lake was blocked, considering the quietness for rest, it's understandable for it would not be facing directly to the lake. So the location was overall perfect. 3. The room was big and comforatble, and the size exceeded our expectation. 4. One of the staff was very friendly, and made our dinner time happy and interesting. 5. The food for dinner was great.

The hotel also takes care of your luggage before check-in and after check out. Would definitely recommend staying if you are in Hallstatt.

It also had a small mini market which was a fabulous idea for breakfast lunch or dinner. Every morning there was fresh bread and pastries which was a lovely touch during our stay. Andi was so helpful, accommodating he was a true local and gave us plenty of information on Hallstatt and surrounding villages. We highly recommend this property for a stay and hopefully we will return.
