I wasn't aware that the rooms were over a biergarten and restaurant but it did not impact our stay in the least. The breakfast in the morning was typical European (fresh rolls and croissants, meats and cheeses, fruits, vegetables, yogurt and cereals). On the second day the innkeeper kindly came to our room to check on us when she noted that we had not been down yet. Very quiet room, with room darkening shades. A bit of a ways from city center but really close to (free) bus and ferry. Very little English spoken (after all it is Germany) but staff is patient and most accommodating.

The family running the Gästhaus were exceedingly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and soap and a fan were provided. The location is 100ft from Lake Konstanz and surrounded by many shops and fantastic restaurants. The bar/restaurant at the base of the hotel was also an added bonus. I’ll be back!

We liked the rooms. We stayed twice and one time had a cute balcony and the other time a larger room and bathtub. We slept very well. Staff made sure I didn’t leave charger.

We were craving for a pizza during dinner but the nearby restaurants were already closed, so we did not find any. To our surprise, she cooked 3 pizzas for my family and delivered it into our room. That is unexpected and extraordinary - thank you so much! She also managed to convert the sofa bed for additional two persons inside our room spontaneously. The hotel is beautiful and very close to Lake Konstanz.

The rooms on the 3rd floor have a great view of the lake and they’re quite spacios, with a kitchinette included (which is great if you’re traveling with kids).
