The staff was amazing, so kind and helpful. The building decorations are also creative with strong andean influence, the included breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner there once and dinner was great too. My favorite hotel during my 3,5 weeks in Ecuador. I will miss Luna!

The owner is very sweet and the property is beatiful. And there are cows you can cuddle in the garden and a lovely view of the mountains. I was offered dinner for a reasonable amount and a delicious breakfast was included. Would definitely stay there again.

Really nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. We stayed over NYE and were treated to a great evening including free dinner. Breakfast is good for $3pp, there are laundry services for $2/kg, and free luggage storage. Colonial House will be our base camp for every stay in Quito, we felt right at home.

The beds in the dorms are really cute. I stayed there over Christmas and they prepared a little dinner. Breakfast is perfect and they have cute dogs at the hostel.

This is a lovely very friendly small hotel full of charm. One of the best nights sleep I’ve had in Ecuador thanks to a very comfy bed, nice cotton linen that actually fits the bed properly (hard to find in Ecuador or seems), duvets rather than blankets, and a pretty quiet night. Good eating nearby ( including 4 or so vegan places within a few blocks) and good craft beer at Sinners cafe just a block away. Good breakfast included with eggs etc though bit limited for vegan (bread jam fruit coffee tea).

The best hostel I’ve stayed during my 5 month trip through South America. Staff is nice, facilities are good, easy to meet people, but what stands out is the food. Quality standards for breakfast and dinner are high, especially for a hostel.

Overall, my stay was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and all homemade. They even offered dinner which was nice. I felt at home and taken care of. I even had tea brought to my room one evening.

Lovely location near the historic centre with an amazing view over the city - but the icing on the cake has to be the superb and thoughtful service from the staff working there. James and Kerri went out of their way to help us organise trips, give us advice and organise transport. Our stay there was amazing and we made wonderful memories to last a lifetime! The daily breakfasts were a real treat and the restaurant had a great offer of dinner and drinks too !
