We stayed at the Brisley Bell when we attended a family wedding at Godwick Hall in April (10mins drive away). I was the photographer at said wedding so it was a mix of a business/family trip. What a place!! Absolutely in love with it from the minute we arrived, within 10 mins we were all in awe of the decor/style/finish, everything. The owners have done an incredible job of the pub itself and the rooms, just perfect. We would highly recommend it as a place to stay for anyone visiting the area....even if you're not, just go there anyway! not a chance of you regretting it. The thought and consideration for every detail and style element in the rooms is incredible. I now want to redecorate my own home! We had booked for dinner on our first night and after a 10hr drive down from the Highlands of Scotland, we were NOT disappointed. Beautiful restaurant area, full of character, fast service, smiley professional staff, stunning food...I could have eaten it all again. The staff are fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you but in a completely natural/non intrusive way. A special thanks to Jackie & her daughter in housekeeping! So lovely and welcoming, there to answer any queries we had (purely out of wondering, not because anything was wrong!). Even down to us chatting with them about the beautiful dinner the night before and asking 'How does the chef get the avocado so cleanly cut like that?!" Jackie went and asked for us and demonstrated the next time we saw her! It's all these little things that make you feel welcomed and as if you are the most valued guests while you're there. A lot of other accommodation outlets could learn a great deal from this business, can't fault them at all.

Lovely location and setting. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Liked the little added touch of the flask of fresh milk and the Tunnocks Tea Cakes in the room. Good coffee machine with decent coffee and a decent sized kettle in the room. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was lovely. Breakfast was also very good and the staff were friendly.

A great location for Fakenham, a quiet area and only 10 minutes walk from town. The house is lovely and well set up, parking was no issue (you cannot park right outside though as the street is pedestrian access only). All the basics were available in the house; washing up liquid, shower gel, towels, tea, coffee etc. All the appliances in the kitchen worked and we were able to cook dinner. We had no need for contact with the host, but messages were quicky replied to. The internet worked well. The heating worked well and the shower worked well.
