Spotlessly clean and comfortable room, lovely bed and great shower. Great location for beach and town. Excellent breakfast. The 102 bus which picks up outside the pub will take you on a sightseeing tour of country and sea to Rye, which is worth a trip. Note: empty bladder required as journey is about 1.5 hours over bumpy roads, and if you have to get off it will be in the middle of nowhere! Staff at the Red Lion are excellent, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful to have porridge available, especially delightful for me was FRIED BREAD included in the cooked part - this is virtually unknown anywhere else!! We also enjoyed a very varied dinner, lots of tasty and good options for only £15.50, including tea, coffee and chilled water. Staff can bring you drinks from bar which you pay for, naturally.

Very strange. Most of the reviews are very good but there are two bad ones. We thought, ok you can't please everybody, but they were correct. It was pretty bad. I understand it has been taken over by a big chain. Well they need to demolish it.

Our room was an adequate size with a small but perfectly functional en-suite. The bed was comfortable. Our breakfast was just what we wanted it to be. Our hostess was lovely! Very friendly and helpful. She also recommended a great restaurant for dinner (Rosemont). The next time we need an overnight stop on our way to France, we will certainly stay here again.
