Situated 19 km from Askham Hall, The Ullswater Inn- The Inn Collection Group offers 4-star accommodation in Glenridding and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Located around 29 km from Derwentwater, the inn with free WiFi is also 31 km away from Lake Windermere. The property is non-smoking and is set 23 km from World of Beatrix Potter.

What stands out most of all is the friendly, helpful, smiling attitude of ALL STAFF that we came into contact with. Nothing, I mean NOTHING was a problem or hassle, everything we asked for was delivered with a smile. The hotel is to undergo a £2m upgrade next year. This should make the place even better (but please keep all the same staff).

Most staff were extremely approachable, ready to accommodate us. They have recently renovated the inn, so new towels and bedding. .Beautiful surroundings to visit the next day. Restaurant on the site where we had a lovely dinner.

Stayed at Fairlight while walking the Coast to Coast Trail, a bit more than1 km off the trail but a picturesque setting. We were leaving before breakfast in the morning so our lovely host organised fruit and snacks to take with us. Situated across the road from beautiful The Inn on the Lake, it's a very short walk home after a few beers. Some rooms have views of the lake...

Lovely peaceful location near Glenridding. Good price for a 'twin room' which was quite big and actually had 3 sets of bunks, but only two of us in it. Drying room is a great facility in YHA hostels, if you've been out in the rain or have washed some clothes. I liked the option to buy breakfast & dinner from the hostel although I mainly used the self-catering kitchen. Excellent walking opportunities all around. We enjoyed a boat trip from Glenridding, including the option to disembark for a while for a walk.

Wasn't expected the cleanliness of the toilets, they were like in hotels, sparkling clean which i didn't see in other YHA toilets normally though they were for both, no separate for male/female. Had wonderful dinner with very helpful staff. Location is amazing.
