Nothing, I mean NOTHING was a problem or hassle, everything we asked for was delivered with a smile. The hotel is to undergo a £2m upgrade next year. This should make the place even better (but please keep all the same staff).

Good price for a 'twin room' which was quite big and actually had 3 sets of bunks, but only two of us in it. Drying room is a great facility in YHA hostels, if you've been out in the rain or have washed some clothes. I liked the option to buy breakfast & dinner from the hostel although I mainly used the self-catering kitchen. Excellent walking opportunities all around. We enjoyed a boat trip from Glenridding, including the option to disembark for a while for a walk.MoyraPeople with friends

Vegetarian options too..kids were free dinners with paying adult ..kids breakfast free under 10 . Amazing !. Bathroom was clean and good facilities. Self catering kitchen also on site. The surrounding area was beautiful and picturesque. There was free parking .
