Location was good, great access for various sights and attractions. Landlord Glyn was awesome; very friendly, open and very informative. Breakfast was fantastic!! Good pint of Guinness and a number of ales on offer. Cracking open fire in the bar/dining room which really belts out the heat!!

The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room was large with a comfortable bed, a good shower, and tea/coffee making facilities. The dinner was excellent with the best steak I've had in ages and the salmon and scrambled eggs I had for breakfast was also made just right. All portions were very generous. Foolow is a very small hamlet and there are no shops but it is in the centre of some lovely walking territory. There is a bus stop outside with connections to nearby towns and villages as well as Sheffield.

Loved the beautiful hamlet it was located in. Very helpful staff who maintained good communication before we got there. As we had booked for Sunday and Monday night when the pub did not serve dinner, the staff were most helpful in suggesting/ booking an alternate restaurant. Well proportioned room, clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our room. It was spotless and beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed and lovely pillows. Provision of bathrobes was a nice surprise and the decor and furniture suited the olde world atmosphere of the building. We loved the peace and quiet of the village too. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first evening which was very tasty with good portions and reasonably priced
